Dear NSLS Community,
Yesterday marked the halfway point of my study abroad experience in Vilnius, Lithuania. In addition to amassing a wealth of knowledge about transparency, good governance, and sustainability, participating in this program has diversified my professional network. I appreciate the use of various lecture styles because it promotes effectiveness and inclusion—skills that the Society helped me develop.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to meet and discuss with the incumbent Major of Vilnius—Remigijus Šimašius—at the Vilnius City Municipality. The event was as notable as the reception at the embassy of Finland, which I talked about in my previous blog post. Mayor Remigijus Šimašius assumed office in April 2015, and is working towards a corrupt-free Lithuania. The number of young intellectuals in his administration impressed me.

The program continues to meet my expectations, and I look forward to applying the skills learned.
Seek rich experiences!
