“I’ve been a leader most of my life, so having a club that can help you stand out, learn more about your own leadership skills and how to work with other leaders – that’s something I wanted to emphasize and make sure we could bring to life,” Chapter President Davidian said. “College is such an important time in learning who you are and sharpening your skills.” The five-year-old Society chapter at Chapman University is shining on campus and known for positively impacting not only the lives of its members, but the surrounding community as well. Aside from collaboration with other clubs on campus to hold events, the Society chapter holds its own events that are open to the campus as well. The latest brought esteemed educator Erin Gruwell to speak at campus. Gruwell, known for her unique teaching method, was the subject of the 2007 film “Freedom Writers.” “I can’t emphasize enough how important leadership truly is, and you really can use it in everything,” Davidian said. “You don’t have to be in a certain major or career to be a leader – you can be a leader anywhere. The smallest things can make the biggest difference.”
