The National Society of Leadership and Success
Building leaders who make a better world

Broward Community College

My name is Manita Madaan, and I am the president of Sigma Alpha Pi at Broward Community College (BCC), Central. I would like to thank all of you at the National Office for bringing us such a great organization. This Society is really close to my heart because I have learned a lot about myself and life ever since I have been part of it. I have grown so much as a person and as a leader.

I want to be a speaker but I was afraid I won't be good enough; however, my Success Networking Team members believed otherwise. Because of their support, I will soon be doing my first professional motivational presentation. I was afraid that as a leader I might be too tough on my executive board members, but my team helped me be a fair and a good leader. I did not want to drop a class, even though it was really stressing me out; my team said it was okay to give up sometimes, especially if the situation was getting that bad. When the Commission Chair of the county invited me over to her house for lunch and asked me to support the candidate for Davie Mayor, I was afraid to get involved in politics, but my team said go for it. My advisor resigned, the organization and I were ready to fall, but my team pushed me up, gave me the courage to keep going and motivated me to give it my all; even though I still haven't found a permanent advisor, at the least I am not about to let the organization be.

My team and the Society have taught me how to be the best I can be; they have taught me how to differentiate between the right and wrong paths in life. Before I was part of the National Society of Leadership and Success I had 5 goals in life, but now I write down a new goal everyday and I accomplish a previous goal everyday.

For this and much more I would like to thank all of you at the national office and everyone at BCC because of whom my success was possible.

Best regards always!
